S.A.L. Swarovski America Limited 18ct Gold Plated Black Glass Cabochon and Crystal Brooch featuring an 18ct Gold Plated Brooch with a central round black glass cabochon framed in a radiating ribbed design with five decorative pave set clear Swarovski crystal accents. This gorgeous brooch measures 5.5cm diameter and weighs a hefty 35.4g. It has a rollover pin and it is signed S.A.L. on the reverse. Swarovski America Limited, S.A.L. was the name under which the famed Austrian crystal company first began manufacturing their own jewellery in the United States. The "S.A.L" mark was used from 1977 to 1988 until it was replaced with the now globally renowned swan hallmark, that continues to represent Swarovski jewellery today.
