Cartier

Louis-Francois Cartier, born in 1819, bought Adolphe Picard’s workshop in 1847 which marked the start of the famous Cartier jewellery house. Cartier created the brand’s first royal commission for Princess Mathilde, and with her patronage, the brand's popularity grew. The Art Deco style from the 1920s-1930s was based on strict geometric constructions of the garland style. Cartier was influenced by the Far East, India, and Persia.
Cartier
