RARE!! Large Attwood and Sawyer Prince of Wales Three Feathers Brooch! The incredible large Attwood and Sawyer (Wales) Prince of Wales Three Feather Brooch, made in Wales in the 1970's, by Attwood and Sawyer. This brooch displays three ostrich feathers set with Swarovski crystals, held in place by a gold crown also bejewelled with smaller Swarovski crystals. This beautiful creation by Attwood and Sawyer was based on the brooch designed by Edward VIII for his American life partner Wallace Simpson. The original brooch was sold by Sotheby's in 1987 and again in 2011 when the Elizabeth Taylor Collection was sold by Christie's.

Attwood and Sawyer made this beautiful brooch in two sizes, both highly sought after, but this size very rarely comes on the market, the larger size having the distinctive baguette cut crystals in the stem of the feathers as well as the the tails to set it apart. This large size measures 7.8cm tall and 6.2cm wide and it weighs 42.4g, which compared to the smaller version (5.6cm x 4.5cm and 20g) is a lot larger and more than twice the weight. A real treasure for any collection.

This beautiful piece of jewellery began its journey many years ago and may have some very minor imperfections collected along its travels. By purchasing this piece you will investing in a brand new chapter of its story as well as making a positively conscious choice on sustainable fashion. Vintage jewellery for the beautiful you on our beautiful planet.
