Nuri Abalone Dragonfly Brooch featuring a lovely dragonfly with beautiful abalone wings measuring 5.1cm long and 6.5cm wide and he weighs 10.2g. He has a rollover clasp and is signed 'Nuri' in script on the silver tone reverse. There is slight wiggle on the pin, but rollover clasp is secure - this is reflected in the price.
The history of the American jewellery brand Nuri Fashions Designs Ltd., was founded in 1978 in the coastal city of Bellingham, Washington State. They owned two jewellery brands, 'Nuri' registered in 1984 until 2006, and 'Watercolors' registered in 1992 until 1997. During this time Nuri craftsmen created beautiful pieces of jewellery including brooches and earrings handcrafted with the use of multicolour abalone using pewter, sterling silver, and rhinestones.
The marking on the back of each piece includes the word 'Nuri' in fancy script and a copyright sign.
