Carlos Sobral Huge Signed White, Olive, Cream and Grey Polka Dot Resin Bangle featuring white, olive, cream and grey resin polka dots suspended in a clear resin body. This lovely bangle measures 5cm wide, 1.1cm thick and has an internal circumference of approx 20.5cm. It weighs a hefty 155.6g and it is stamped on the inside of one of the sections with the distinctive overlapping Carlos Sobral initials 'CS'.
Carlos Sobral's story is a very inspiring one. Starting out in Brazil crafting leather bags and sandals in the hippie movement in the 60's, Sobral soon began working with resins to create jewellery. After years of determined effort he eventually broke the European market in the 80's and turned the business into a million dollar company. He opened his first Sobral shop in Ipanema in 1991 and continues to work with unusual recycled materials in an environmentally-responsible way. He currently has 17 shops including ones in New York, Paris and Rio.
