Attwood and Sawyer (Wales) Prince of Wales Three Ostrich Feather Brooch featuring three ostrich feathers set with Swarovski crystals, held in place by a gold crown also bejewelled with smaller Swarovski crystals. This beautiful creation by Attwood and Sawyer was based on a brooch designed by Edward VIII for his American life partner Wallace Simpson. Highly collectible, this piece measures 5.6cm tall and 4.5cm at its widest point and weighs 25.3g.
Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty amongst others.
